Thanks to all of you, we collected (as of this morning) 1417 Signatures in a week. The petition has been bound and is going to the hearing this morning. More news to follow.

BAN DID NOT GO THRU! It was put on hold for further comment. I found a live stream and did not see the comments as they put them first but at the end this is what was said. Check the Fish and Game website and later the recording should be viewable.

I wanted to be part of this in person, but glad I did not go as I have been extremely sick all day! I know stress from this senseless Bill has brought it on..So many PPL worked tirelessly hard on this issue & I commend you ALL! I have read the comments here & agree with those who say, “Nobody is taking my Dog(s) away from me!” They are part of my family! I will protect them as I would my kids, cuz, they ARE my fur-kids! They love & depend on me! The love they give us in return is immeasurable & unconditional. How could I let them down? I am Mom & I am always here for my Boys, my Husband, my Dogs & our Cat! Nobody has the right to rip a Family apart for no reason like they are trying to do with this ridiculous infringement on OUR RIGHTS!
POLITICS=CRIME & this Crime is striking my Family, as well as many other PPL & their beloved Dog(s) right on their PRIVATE PROPERTY! I still can’t believe this! It would affect everyone who pays taxes in CA~and boy do we pay…Too much for everything! Maybe it is time for all law abiding, tax paying Citizens in CA to move away to another state that at least would show us & our Dog(s) some respect..We need to get back what we give!!!!!!
I am anxiously awaiting the results of this hearing & the news for ALL OF US better be good news!
I live in Illinois and I am terrified about this passing. I can’t sleep. And I am in tears for the families that could be affected, and in tears because this could be us worrying about my pets, my furbabies, in a short while if this takes off. This can’t pass. Haven’t they learned from all the families hurt from the pit bull bans? the boxer bans? the akita bans? This is wrong. My babies have done nothing wrong. Already insurance companies won’t insure families with a husky, and apartments won’t rent to people with huskies. When are they going to learn that the dogs are innocent? And the ones that will suffer are the honest families with good pets.
My new goal is to get service pet certificates for my dogs, or at least the canine good citizenship, and I recommend everyone else to do the same…protect you families. Andrea is right, this is a CRIME. Don’t take away our dogs.
BSL affects everyone. And it just seems that the government is working that much harder to ban dog ownership altogether.
Although I don’t approve of hybrids, I signed the petition because I’m sick of AR extremists taking away our rights to own pets.
